12 April: Chick Flick Night

This evening was Chick Flick night at Emily’s house in Schwieberdingen (north of Stuttgart). We were supposed to bring junk food so I used my last remaining envelope of Lipton’s Onion Soup mix to make onion dip and actually found Lay’s ruffled potato chips at Kaufland this week. I also brought some veggies, so at least we’d have some nutritious food. It was a small group (probably because Schwieberdingen is a bit difficult to get to) – just me, Emily, Brenda, Heather, and Thuy. Emily had ordered The Holiday from Netflix but it hadn’t arrived yet so we watched The Devil Wears Prada instead. Half of us had already seen it, so there was as much talking and laughing as there was movie-watching. Afterwards we watched “Germany’s Next Top Model,” keeping up a running commentary on the contestants.
